About The Position

The Electrician Helper assists Electricians in the installation, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing electrical systems within an industrial environment. This is a contract/temporary position, and the estimated workload is 2-7 weeks.

Requirements

• 1+ years as an industrial electrician helper
• Previous experience with industrial electrical systems
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to pass a background check
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of technical drawings, wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Basic knowledge of NEC and state / local codes
• Familiar with Gas Chromatographs (GCs)
• OSHA certification or other safety trainings
• Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing
• Turning, twisting, bending and balancing
• Pushing, pulling and reaching
• Must be able to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly, installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures including conduit, wire duct and cable tray systems
• Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues in a timely manner
• Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Ensure compliance with national, state and local electrical codes
• Maintain tools, vehicles and equipment in good working order
• Work collaboratively with team members, contractors and clients
• Learn from the Electrician
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
