Requirements

  • A Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with ability to create and edit electrical designs
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and pay attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communications

Nice To Haves

  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in electrical drafting is preferred, but we are open to candidates with less experience eager to learn and grow
  • Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment, specifically in industrial projects, is highly desired
  • Certification as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or the ability to become registered would be considered a strong asset
  • Experience with AGI32 and/or ElumTools lighting simulation software, and SKM Power Tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of electrical and instrumentation designs for a variety of industrial, water and municipal projects
  • Prepare detailed electrical engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Standards, Safety, and QA/QC policies
  • Complete electrical design tasks and calculations crucial to project success
  • Work closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams, including utilities, equipment suppliers, contractors and clients
  • Assist with field investigations, gathering essential data of existing conditions, and completing field observations
  • Ensuring electrical design documents are coordinated, thorough and clear with strong attention to detail
