About The Position

R.D. Graham Electric, LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Superintendent to lead and oversee industrial electrical projects, manage field crews, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. The role requires hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and rigid metal conduit installation, along with the ability to coordinate manpower, interpret drawings and schematics, troubleshoot industrial systems, and keep projects on schedule and within budget. The superintendent will supervise crews and subcontractors at job sites, coordinate installations and commissioning, enforce safety and quality standards, and work with project managers, contractors, engineers, and other trades. The position includes physical demands associated with working in industrial environments. Candidates must submit to full pre-employment background and drug screenings.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Industrial Electrical Superintendent, Industrial Electrical Foreman, or in a similar leadership role.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical installations and systems.
Hands-on experience with motor controls and industrial motor circuits.
Working knowledge of VFD installation, wiring, setup, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with PLC systems, control wiring, and industrial automation.
Demonstrated ability to install rigid metal conduit efficiently, accurately, and professionally.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and control diagrams.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage crews, prioritize work, and meet project deadlines.
Commitment to job-site safety, quality control, and productivity.
Ability to work in industrial environments and meet the physical demands of the position.
Must submit to full pre-employment background and drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

Experience with industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, machinery installations, and automated production systems.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, and industrial instrumentation.
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable OSHA standards.
Experience coordinating electrical installations with other trades and project management teams.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Electrical apprenticeship completion, trade school, or equivalent field experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise, lead, and coordinate industrial electrical crews and subcontractors on job sites.
Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and manage manpower to meet project schedules and deadlines.
Apply knowledge of motor controls, motor starters, control circuits, and industrial control panels.
Install, troubleshoot, and support VFDs and motor control systems.
Work with PLC control wiring, I/O connections, troubleshooting, and integration with industrial equipment.
Oversee efficient, accurate installation, bending, routing, and support of rigid metal conduit.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, control diagrams, specifications, and project drawings.
Ensure proper installation of conduit, wire, cable tray, equipment, panels, disconnects, and industrial electrical systems.
Coordinate equipment installations, terminations, control wiring, testing, and commissioning activities.
Identify field issues, troubleshoot problems, and develop practical solutions to keep projects moving.
Maintain high standards of workmanship, organization, and job-site efficiency.
Enforce OSHA requirements, electrical codes, company safety policies, and proper lockout/tagout procedures.
Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, engineers, and other trades.
Monitor material usage, tools, equipment, and labor productivity.
Inspect completed work for compliance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes.
Provide leadership, training, and guidance to electricians and apprentices.
