About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Foreman to lead and supervise the planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, motors, and control systems. This role is responsible for coordinating and directing craft workers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The Foreman will also collaborate with other trades and project leadership to support successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrician with 5+ years of experience in industrial environments such as chemical plants, refineries, or pulp and paper facilities
  • Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, including P&E, P&ID, orthographic, general arrangement, equipment, and isometric drawings
  • Solid understanding of applicable electrical codes
  • Ability to plan and sequence work effectively and build efficient project schedules
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be drug-free at all times and pass a 7-year clear background

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize daily work activities, ensuring materials, equipment, and manpower are in place
  • Prepare and communicate daily and weekly look-aheads; complete and share TMILs with the Construction Manager
  • Oversee safety compliance, workmanship quality, and cost control
  • Maintain clear communication with crews, project management, and client representatives
  • Lead by example to foster a positive, motivated team environment
  • Ensure all work meets contract scope, specifications, and quality standards
  • Supervise installation of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, controls, grounding, substations, switchgear, and motor control centers
  • Support or coordinate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical) to complete turnkey projects
  • Manage permitting and inspection processes; participate in project meetings
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, including payroll, equipment usage, scheduling updates, and project communications
  • Develop and manage project schedules, proactively addressing upcoming work and potential challenges
  • Provide hands-on leadership in the field
  • Mentor and develop team members in both technical skills and leadership
  • Oversee proper use of tools, machinery, and equipment
  • Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to the budget
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites and enforce housekeeping standards
  • Support business development efforts with new and existing clients
  • Perform a range of responsibilities, including supervising crews across multiple sites, preparing reports, attending client meetings, participating in bid walks, and assisting with estimates
