Hunt Electric, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a full-time licensed Industrial Electrical Foreman to join their Industrial Division. Requirements

  • Current and active Journeyman Electrician License issued from the State of Utah (a valid reciprocal state journeyman license will be considered as proof of experience, but a Utah journeyman license must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
  • Experience in electrical construction and running field crews
  • Five plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods
  • Be able to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, such as indoor and outdoor lighting systems and timing
  • Superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.)
  • Team player with acknowledging contributions by others
  • Have basic computer skills such as Outlook, Bluebeam, Word and Excel
  • Experience in food and beverage, manufacturing, automation and controls, or wastewater treatment
  • Have previously successfully supervised projects with crews ranging from 2 to 50 personnel, meeting safety, quality and production goals

Responsibilities

  • Diplomatically manage the crews and provide appropriate training, positive and constructive feedback
  • Plan and layout the project including planned installation material take-off quantities and tool needs based on the project schedule
  • Ability to troubleshoot and install control circuits and compute electrical
  • Ability to read, to understand, and to interpret electrical plans, complex circuit schematics and blueprints
  • Establish a site-specific safety plan and evaluate project risks to personnel and equipment to mitigate them
  • Understand, review and implement the installation per the contract drawings and specifications
  • Evaluate the contracted scope of work with the PM to determine change requests and schedule affect
  • Plan the project’s material, equipment, and labor needs for timely arrival to and from the site
  • Monitor daily progress to the short-term and long-term schedules to meet commitments
  • Provide daily written documentation of activities and obstacles
  • Conduct and participate in project meetings as needed and provide necessary trade coordination
  • Coordinate and communicate with the PM and purchasing manager with detailed material requisitions, and delivery schedules
  • Knowledge of the installation of cable tray systems, tray cable installation, heat trace, rigid conduit bending and threading, motor control centers and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of MHSA & OHSA Standards
  • Ability to communicate technical information, listen to instructions and ask questions, as necessary
  • Establish and implement prefab project-specific tasks
  • Ability to manage more than one project at a time
  • Desire to contribute to improving standards and processes
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment
  • Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, goal-oriented mindset for continual growth, with a “Can-Do” positive attitude
