We are currently looking for an Industrial Designer to design retail displays, décor, and signage that go from concept to production to installation. This role sits at the intersection of creative design, engineering detail, and manufacturing execution — ideal for a designer who wants to see their ideas built, installed, and refined in the real world. You’ll work closely with studio members, prototype/production teams, suppliers, and installation crews to ensure design intent translates cleanly into high quality fabricated solutions. This position is currently open and reflects a replacement position due to an internal transfer, promotion, or departure.

Requirements

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Industrial Design, Technical Drawing, or related field
  • 3–5 years in industrial design, retail design, signage, fixtures, or fabrication based environments
  • SolidWorks experience required
  • Familiarity with other CAD tools
  • Understanding of materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of 3D printing and PDM (Product Data Management) environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working across design, production, and installation teams
  • Organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to project coordination is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Designing permanent and semi permanent retail displays, signage, and fixtures.
  • Developing concepts using sketches, 3D modeling, renderings, and physical mock ups.
  • Creating production ready drawings with materials, hardware, and fabrication details.
  • Supporting prototype builds, first offs, and quality reviews.
  • Collaborating with a multi-disciplined studio, production teams and suppliers (domestic and offshore).
  • Participating in site visits, surveys, and installations to ensure real world execution.
  • Preparing assembly and installation instructions for accurate executions.
  • Researching materials, hardware, fabrication methods, and sustainable options.
