About The Position

The Industrial Custodian maintains a clean and orderly industrial work environment in manufacturing floors, factories, warehouses, or large distribution centers. The position includes cleaning production and warehouse floors, managing trash and hazardous waste, operating industrial cleaning and material-handling equipment, securing areas, responding to spills, and performing minor repairs. It may also involve exterior housekeeping and maintenance, including snow removal and grounds cleaning.

The work may involve seasonal heat and cold, high noise levels, dust, varying temperatures, heights, chemicals, and required personal protective equipment. Team members regularly stand, walk, carry, push and pull, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, hear, see, operate machinery, and maneuver objects weighing 50 pounds or less. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a driver's license. Employment is contingent on export-control screening and verification of U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license or confirming the availability of a license exception.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to read instructions, report maintenance needs, and communicate with management.
• High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
• Must have a driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of pallet jacks and/or forklift certification.
• Ability to operate a Zamboni.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, paint, and vacuum floors in production areas and warehouses.
• Gather, empty, and dispose of trash and hazardous waste materials.
• Operate heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, floor scrubbers, polishers, and power washers.
• Ensure areas are secure, including locking doors; respond to spills and follow OSHA safety procedures.
• Perform light maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs or repairing minor structural items.
• Assist with snow removal or cleaning grounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
