About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment for employees and visitors. 2nd Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM, Monday to Friday

Requirements

Understanding of both general and specific principles of housekeeping procedures and materials.
Effective communication skills required to comprehend and execute work orders.
Able to work efficiently in busy environments with frequent interaction with the public.
Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
General knowledge of OSHA Standards.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
Previous experience with trash compactors and cardboard balers.
Prior custodial experience.
Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing work areas.
Collect product trash – including boxes, tape, packaging, and collateral – from the product aisles.
Conduct thorough checks of all corrugated trash to prevent accidental disposal of product/equipment.
Manage the cardboard baler, including wire replacement, and maintain cleanliness in its vicinity.
Use floor scrubber as necessary.
Empty waste receptacles and operate the trash compactor.
Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Ensure familiarity with the whereabouts of Material Safety Data (MSD) books and maintain a practical understanding of the MSD data.
Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
