About The Position
The Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) is seeking an industrial cleaner to perform heavy-duty tasks in common areas and, occasionally, vacated and occupied units across various property types including high-rises, mid-rises, townhouses, scattered sites, and garden community apartments. This mission-driven role is part of an organization committed to affordable housing and community development.
Requirements
- Experience and/or training in the industrial cleaner trade
- Valid Washington state driver’s license with a fully insurable driving record
Responsibilities
- Perform basic janitorial cleaning duties
- Strip, wax, scrub, and polish floors
- Shampoo carpets
- Extract water and sewage from flooded properties
- Clean up after a fire in a building or unit
- Perform mold remediation and removal
- Perform industrial cleaning in vacated units
