About The Position

CompX National is hiring a Manufacturing Chemical/Finishing Cleaner for our 3rd shift. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of electroplating lines, the waste treatment system, and surrounding areas, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient operations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of proper handling and disposal of hazardous industrial chemicals
Ability to read and understand SDS (safety data sheets)
Strong time management and organizational skills
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented, resourceful, and diligent
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others
Reliable and committed to attendance expectations
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift 55 pounds repetitively

Responsibilities

Maintain overall cleanliness of three electroplating lines, the waste treatment system, and surrounding areas.
Wipe down plating lines regularly.
Clean tanks, panels and floor in waste treatment area.
Wash pumps and clean up standing water.
Perform heavy, detailed cleaning as needed.
Sweep and mop chemical storage area.
Adhere to PPE policy.
Complete the "Weekly Clean task list".
Pay close attention to labels and safety data sheets (SDS).
Use safety equipment and follow safety instructions as directed.
Abide by all Company and OSHA safety standards set for work area.
Follow daily 5S standards.
