Western Washington University's College of Science and Engineering is seeking a non-tenure-track faculty member to support the new Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE) Program on the Peninsulas. This 2+2 Bachelor of Science degree program is designed to serve students on the Olympic Peninsula and surrounding regions, with the first two years completed at regional institutions like Olympic College and the final two years at WWU. The ISE program prepares graduates for careers in fields such as naval shipyard operations, logistics, supply chain management, and healthcare systems. The curriculum focuses on systems design, data analytics, operations research, human factors, quality improvement, and project management, with an emphasis on applied learning, hybrid course delivery, and industry-sponsored capstone projects. The program aims for ABET accreditation. The department maintains a vacancy pool for temporary, part-time teaching positions, with occasional opportunities for full-time appointments, filled on a quarterly basis.
