About The Position
The Computer Science & Engineering Department at CSU Channel Islands has openings for lecturer positions to teach graduate courses in Computer Science. Examples of course offerings include, but are not limited to, Mulit-Agent Systems, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Mining.
Requirements
- Applicants should have a M.S. in Computer Science (or related discipline) from an accredited institution
- Applicants should demonstrate the ability to effectively engage with a broad student population and provide mentorship that supports student academic success.
- Applicants should demonstrate their commitment to effectively work with and engage a diverse student population and evidence of how they would successfully mentor minoritized students with special focus on Latinx, Black/African American, American Indian, and Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander students.
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D in Computer Science (or related discipline) from an accredited institution
- 3+ years of teaching experience within a college or industry setting
- 3+ years of industry experience in the engineering field
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibilities are to teach graduate courses in Computer Science and advise students within the classroom setting.
