Individual Support WorkerAt River Edge in the Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities program, our caring, well-trained staff partner with individuals, families, loved ones, and other providers to offer individualized choices, options, opportunities, and supports that promote each individual's valued social roles, pursuing expanded hopes and dreams, learning new skills, and living the most independent, meaningful life possible. Though people say "developmental disabilities," we see "different abilities." The staff teaches, reinforces, and supports daily nutrition, hygiene, medication, and social skills. Staff provides behavior support and fosters opportunities and options for community integration and belonging.In this position, you will:Assist with daily living activities in individual's home or residential facility. Observe and monitor the client's behavior and chart observations and incidents. Provides training on basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills. May assist with meal preparation, ADLs, and provide transportation.
