In this position, under supervision of the Vice President of Individual Sales, you will focus on increasing sales in your assigned territory.

Requirements

Four to eight years of experience working in a carrier representative position with an insurance carrier
Professional oral and written communication and presentation skills required
Decision-making ability and analytical thinking skills required
Experience in public speaking
Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position

Responsibilities

Develop and execute regional sales plans to meet new business premium and to meet and/or exceed assigned annual sales goals
Recruit, develop, and manage a network of distribution relationships, focused on National Account and Brokerage Insurance agencies
Work collaboratively with internal regional wholesaler to deliver exceptional service
Engage regularly with distribution
Serve as primary Company contact for top-producing distribution partners in the region
Conduct regular business reviews with key partners to assess production, service needs, and growth opportunities
Deliver product training to distribution partners on plan designs, positioning, and underwriting guidelines
Advise and support development of competitive case proposals
Share sales strategies and competitive insights to help distribution partners grow production
Work with administrative teams to identify opportunities to enhance service
Collaborate with marketing on programs and collateral materials
Provide input to product development on emerging market trends and competitive product in the individual insurance market
Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records of distribution relationships and activity
Deliver regular sales forecasts and regional performance reports to sales leadership
Monitor persistency/lapse trends and develop retention action plans as needed
