The Individual and Major Gifts Director (IMGD) manages the Individual Giving team which is responsible for raising $10.5M+ from individual donors annually. The IMGD is a front-line fundraiser responsible for securing significant philanthropic support for Mary’s Place, with a primary focus on prospective individual and family foundation donors capable of making gifts in the $10,000+ range with a focus on gifts of $25,000 and above. The entire Development team is responsible for securing $21+ million from private and public support annually. The primary responsibilities of the Individual and Major Gifts Director are to supervise the other Individual Giving team members so they successfully engage donors for charitable donors; and to engage and nurture major donors through meaningful stewardship and personalized solicitations to increase donor loyalty and donations. The IMGD actively engages in Mary’s Place racial equity work – striving for racially equitable outcomes and taking responsibility for creating, maintaining, and affirming communities for people of color, immigrants and refugees, trans and gender-non-conforming people, and other populations who routinely encounter systemic oppressions.
