About The Position

As an Indirect Retail Sales Expert, you will welcome and engage with legal age smokers and nicotine users to educate them to sell smoke-free products in select c-store/retail locations and ultimately convert legal age smokers and nicotine users. Sales Experts will partner closely with other B2B field force collaboratively to influence retailers while successfully implementing the operating model. Sales Experts will have KPIs and metrics assigned focused on implementing the strategy to fully convert legal age smokers and nicotine users to smoke-free alternatives and increasing market share while forming a favorable perception of products and brand in line with the Code of Conduct under the supervision of the Area Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience or retail in a B2C environment.
  • Follow dress code guidelines with professionalism and poise.
  • Licensed driver with a good driving record.
  • Experience across multiple skillsets including sales and consumer service is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence others.
  • Ability to build strong relationships through active listening and empathy.
  • Can work independently at times with little direction as well as collaboratively with other sales representatives.
  • Ability to stand/be on your feet for up to 6 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute consumer engagement & demonstration visits at select convenience stores/retailers.
  • Conduct daily checks of product stock and visibility materials at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Reinforce product and category knowledge through active engagement and education.
  • Interact with LANU (Legal Age Nicotine Users) within the store environment.
  • Facilitate product demonstrations and guided trials to enhance consumer education.
  • Issue product lendings and collect consumer leads for follow-up.
  • Support device sales through consultative engagement.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of devices and display areas.
  • Responsible for capturing and reporting data and consumer feedback.
  • Conduct trainings with store associates to educate them on the product.
  • Strong understanding of tasks, KPIs, targets for the day and week.
  • Prepared each day by being on time to set up point of sale, checking necessary systems, adhering to dress code.
  • Monitor point of sale throughout the day for inventory and is aware of delivery schedule and follows correct protocol if stock runs out.
  • Controls and ensures the cleanliness of the sales floor and equipment.
  • Comply with the rules of acceptance and processing of return logistics at retail outlets.
  • Handle all equipment with care at each store and touchpoint.
  • Regularly prepare and submit accurate reports to Manager/Supervisor on engagement at point of sale.
  • Comply with all local regulations.
  • Comply with all outlined processes and procedures.
  • Complete each interaction with an exceptional standard of customer service to convert legal age smokers and nicotine users in line with expectations from training.
  • Participate in regular training, testing, webinars, surveys, and evaluation events.
