Indirect Loan Funding Clerk
About The Position
The Indirect Loan Funding Clerk is responsible for reviewing indirect loan packets from dealers to ensure completeness according to bank guidelines. This role involves preparing and completing ACH transactions for dealer funding, providing excellent customer service to dealerships and internal staff, and requesting missing documentation. The clerk will also assist with setting up new dealerships, maintaining organized dealer information, and supporting the Loan Servicing department in obtaining outstanding titles. A key aspect of this role is staying current with compliance requirements for indirect loan contracts and supporting documents, as well as completing all mandatory training, including BSA and Anti-Money Laundering procedures. Regular and predictable attendance is essential, and the clerk will perform other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in banking or financially related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service position
- Proven customer service skills, direct contact and via phone
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet navigation/research, and Outlook is expected
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Mgt., Accounting or Finance preferred
- One (1) year of experience in loan, or loan operations preferred- specifically indirect lending
Responsibilities
- Review all indirect loan packets received from dealers for completeness using established bank guidelines
- Prepare and complete ACH transactions to fund dealers on reviewed loans
- Provide professional and courteous service to existing and newly acquired dealerships, external loan clients and internal bank employees
- Request missing loan documents from dealers and/or underwriters
- Assist with setup of newly acquired dealerships
- Maintain dealer account numbers and other dealership information in an organized manner
- Assist the Loan Servicing department with obtaining outstanding titles from dealers
- Keep up to date on all compliance requirement regarding indirect loan contracts and supporting documents
- Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money Laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations.
