About The Position

EECU is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Indirect Funder I to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring dealer contracts comply with internal standards and State regulations by verifying interest rates, loan terms, and original approvals. The position requires working closely with dealerships to correct and finalize contracts, confirm State-mandated forms, calculate dealer reserves and chargebacks, and resolve discrepancies. The Funder will also provide audit-ready documentation and ensure EECU's lien is recorded within State-mandated timeframes. Contracts must be funded within 24 hours if packets are within guidelines. Funders use multiple systems to update and finalize approved funded loan packets, funding an average of 1,900 contracts per month. Regular attendance is essential. The candidate must adhere to all Federal and State Rules and Regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg B, Reg Z, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Service Members Civil Relief, and FCRA/FACTA, and attend required training.

  • Able to effectively communicate to dealers to obtain completed loan packets in a timely manner for funding
  • 1+ years of experience in the Banking/Financial industry
  • 1+ years in the Indirect Auto Lending Program
  • Good credit history (EECU will evaluate credit history in compliance with applicable laws)
  • Must clear background check including employment, criminal, and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify all documents in dealer loan packages to ensure compliance with EECU and State regulations.
  • Work closely with dealerships to correct and finalize contracts that fall outside of guidelines.
  • Confirm that all State-mandated forms are present and correct.
  • Calculate dealer reserves and dealer chargebacks with accuracy and transparency.
  • Collaborate directly with dealers to resolve reserve discrepancies and obtain necessary corrections.
  • Provide detailed, audit-ready documentation to Management and State Examiners for lien perfections, chargebacks, and reserve payments.
  • Ensure EECU's lien is recorded within State-mandated timeframes.
  • Fund dealer contracts within 24 hours if packets are within guidelines.
  • Use multiple systems to update and finalize all approved funded loan packets.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State Rules and Regulations pertaining to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg B, Reg Z, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Service Members Civil Relief, and FCRA/FACTA.
  • Attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
