About The Position

Driftpile Cree Nation is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and experienced professional to fill the role of IESTP Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Social Development, the ISETS program, this position is a leadership role responsible for the coordination, administration, delivery, and reporting of employment and skills training initiatives designed to support members in gaining meaningful employment, education, and career development opportunities. The successful candidate will oversee program operations, supervise staff, manage budgets, build partnerships, and ensure all services are delivered in accordance with funding agreements and organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in employment, training, social services, or workforce development.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and budgeting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Knowledge of First Nations values, culture, and community priorities.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract.
  • Criminal Record Check and Intervention Check is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Human Services, Education, Career Development, or related field preferred.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with Indigenous communities and funded programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all IESTP programming and daily operations.
  • Supervise assigned support staff and provide leadership and direction.
  • Oversee client intake, assessments, training supports, and employment plans.
  • Develop partnerships with employers, training institutions, and service providers.
  • Manage program budgets, expenditures, and financial tracking.
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
  • Promote employment, training, and career opportunities for members.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and funding guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records, confidential files, and program data.
  • Support strategic planning and continuous program improvement.
