The Academic Skills Adviser (ASA) Program at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in their transition to and participation in tertiary education. The program provides supplementary, tailored academic skills support designed to strengthen study capability, build confidence, and enhance student success throughout their university journey. We are seeking Academic Skills Advisers (Casual) to provide culturally responsive, one-on-one academic support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across a range of study areas and programs. Working collaboratively with students and the Buranga Centre team, you will assist students to develop effective study strategies, navigate university expectations, and achieve their study goals. Academic Skills Advisers are engaged on an hourly basis, with work offered according to student demand during each study period. Support is delivered through one-hour appointments in person across UniSC campuses or conducted online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
