About The Position

This is a field-based, 1099 independent contractor role for an Independent Sales Representative in the Appleton, WI territory. The role requires up to 70% travel and the representative must reside within the assigned territory. The position offers the opportunity to build and run your own business, backed by the Jostens brand, and to grow the territory by signing new business, developing prospects, and leading relationships with schools. The representative will be responsible for operating their own independent office, managing business expenses, and potentially hiring and leading sales support staff.

Requirements

  • Passion for contributing to a positive and rewarding school experience.
  • Proven experience in consultative, educational, or B2C sales and/or sales management.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and takes ownership of success.
  • Track record of developing new business and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Strong financial and operational understanding to run your own business effectively.
  • Confident partnering with diverse stakeholders, from administrators to students.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the Market by driving sales through prospecting, lead generation, and expanding market share.
  • Build Relationships with school administrators, advisors, teachers, and students.
  • Advise and Partner with school leadership on Jostens products and services to support their goals.
  • Operate Your Business by maintaining your own independent office and managing all business expenses, including travel.
  • Hire and Lead sales support staff as needed.
  • Stay Compliant with all laws applicable to your independent business.
  • Represent Jostens with integrity, upholding company values.
