About The Position

This is a field-based, independent sales representative role focused on the yearbook market within the Columbus, OH territory. The position requires the individual to be their own CEO, build their own business, and shape school memories. The role involves growing the territory by signing new business, developing prospects, and leading relationships with schools, while representing the Jostens brand with integrity. The representative will operate their own independent office, manage business expenses including travel, and may need to hire and lead sales support staff. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with a confidential application process.

Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial self-starter.
  • Proven experience in consultative, educational, or B2C sales and/or sales management.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and takes ownership of success.
  • Track record of developing new business and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Strong financial and operational understanding to run an independent business.
  • Confident partnering with diverse stakeholders, from administrators to students.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally (up to 70%).
  • Reside within the assigned territory (Columbus, OH).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the Market by prospecting and expanding market share.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with school administrators, advisors, teachers, and students.
  • Advise and partner with school leadership on Jostens products and services.
  • Operate an independent office and manage all business expenses, including travel.
  • Recruit, train, and compensate office and sales support as needed.
  • Follow all laws applicable to an independent business.
