About The Position

Independent Living Choices (ILC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities. As one of only 2 centers for Independent Living in South Dakota, we provide services across 50 counties and all 9 tribal nations. • Bachelor’s degree in human services or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify goals and connect individuals with resources and supports.
• Coordinate and provide individual and systems advocacy.
• Provide independent living skills training.
• Facilitate Peer Support programs.
• Assist with nursing facility and youth transition.
• Offer information and referral services.
• Conduct home accessibility evaluations and home modification coordination.
