About The Position

Project Genesis, Inc. is hiring an Independent Living Skills Trainer to help individuals with acquired brain injuries rebuild independence, confidence, and everyday life skills. The role involves working one-on-one with clients in their homes and community, providing non-medical care, supervision, and encouragement, and helping clients achieve personal goals. The position is available in Groton, Connecticut, with full-time and part-time options and flexible day and evening shifts. Starting pay is $18–$20 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have acquired brain injury (ABI) experience: 2 years with a high school diploma, or 1 year with a bachelor's degree.
• Have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and vehicle insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with clients in their homes and community.
• Support daily living skills, including cooking, budgeting, routines, and communication.
• Provide non-medical care, supervision, and encouragement.
• Help clients reach personal goals and celebrate their progress.
