About The Position
As an Independent Living Skills (ILS) Instructor, you will work one-on-one with adults with developmental disabilities to help them build the skills needed for greater independence. You will provide individualized instruction in areas such as problem-solving, home management, and social skills. Your role is to support clients in building confidence, independence, and meaningful participation in their communities. Both part-time and full-time positions are available, with opportunities for advancement.
Requirements
- Must pass a post-offer pre-employment background check, non-arduous physical, drug/TB screen, and driving record check.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record, including no DUI convictions within the past five (5) years and no more than two (2) points on the driving record.
- Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- May require occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), standing, walking, or assisting individuals with mobility needs, if applicable.

Responsibilities
- Provide individualized skill development to support independence in daily living, social, and community skills
- Support clients in achieving personal goals through structured, person-centered instruction
- Monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed
- Drive between community-based settings (such as client homes, appointments, and community activities) and transport clients as part of service delivery using a reliable personal vehicle
- Support community integration and social participation
- Collaborate with families and other support professionals to ensure coordinated care and support
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress
- Other duties as assigned
