Independent Living Skills Coaches promote independence by teaching, coaching, modeling, encouraging, and supporting adults with disabilities and mental health conditions as they develop practical life skills, connect with community resources, and participate in meaningful community activities. Coaches work with each person, their family, and their team to develop, implement, and periodically evaluate a Community Living Plan, while representing Reach for Resources, Inc. courteously and professionally. The role involves individualized, one-on-one support in people’s homes and throughout the community, primarily through direct support and field work. Working hours vary between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. according to caseload needs; the role is not expected to exceed 40 hours per week. Weekends, nights, and holidays may be needed. No overnight shifts are required. Pay is $19 per hour, with mileage reimbursement for eligible work-related travel. Benefits and PTO eligibility can depend on full-time status. The work is community-based and includes limited office and remote duties. Physical demands include lifting under 20 pounds, moving around office, program, community, or client locations, safely driving a motor vehicle, monitoring the work environment, and communicating effectively with others.
