About The Position

Strategies to Empower People (STEP) is hiring full-time Independent Living Skills (ILS) & Employment Services Staff to provide in-person support for disabled adults receiving ILS and employment services in the greater Sacramento area. This role involves providing instruction and support for clients working on developing daily living skills and job skills. The ideal candidate will be patient and creative, helping clients grow their independence, find employment, or maintain current employment.

Requirements

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma, GED, or Certificate of Completion
• Must have at least one (1) year or related professional experience with independent living, employment skills training, education, or other similar professions
• Must be able to drive which means providing a current CA Driver License, current auto insurance, and have a clear Motor Vehicle Record

Responsibilities

• Assisting with accessing programs such as Cal-Fresh, SSI, Housing, etc.
• Budgeting support and guidance
• On-site job skill training and support
