Independent Living (ILS) & Employment Support Staff
About The Position
Strategies to Empower People (STEP) is hiring full-time Independent Living Skills (ILS) & Employment Services Staff to provide in-person support for disabled adults receiving ILS and employment services in the greater Sacramento area. This role involves providing instruction and support for clients working on developing daily living skills and job skills. The ideal candidate will be patient and creative, helping clients grow their independence, find employment, or maintain current employment. This includes support with accessing programs like Cal-Fresh, SSI, and Housing, budgeting, on-site job skill training, social engagement, and personal growth/health management.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ with a high school diploma, GED, or Certificate of Completion.
- At least one (1) year of related professional experience with independent living, employment skills training, education, or similar professions.
- Must possess a current CA Driver License.
- Must have current auto insurance.
- Must have a clear Motor Vehicle Record.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and support for clients developing daily living skills and job skills.
- Assist clients in accessing programs such as Cal-Fresh, SSI, and Housing.
- Provide budgeting support and guidance.
- Conduct on-site job skill training and support.
- Facilitate social engagement and development.
- Support clients with personal growth and health management.
