About The Position

The Armstrong Company is seeking skilled, reliable, and professional independent installation contractors to provide furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) services in the Plant City area and surrounding regions. This role involves performing assembly and installation of furniture systems, office equipment, and fixtures, as well as system reconfiguration, site management, safe handling of items, documentation, and professional representation at client sites. The company provides the projects, and the contractor provides the expertise.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in furniture installation, carpentry, moving, or logistics.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, floor plans, schematics, and installation manuals.
• Possession of the necessary hand and power tools required to perform high-quality installations and reconfigurations.
• Access to reliable transportation and the ability to meet project deadlines consistently.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items (up to 75 lbs.) as required by specific project needs.
• Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and client representatives.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet standard safety and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform the assembly and installation of furniture systems, office equipment, and fixtures according to manufacturer specifications or project blueprints.
• Dismantle and reassemble complex office systems during reconfigurations and moves.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all items are placed safely and correctly according to the project plan.
• Load, unload, and transport items with the highest level of care to prevent damage to client assets or facilities.
• Complete necessary service reports, installation checklists, and damage logs to ensure seamless project closeout.
• Deliver exceptional service and professionalism at all client sites, maintaining the high standards associated with the Armstrong brand.
