About The Position

We are building a high-performance independence program for neurodivergent teens and young adults (ages 13–22). This role is not traditional caregiving but rather a 'Transition Architect' position. You will work 1-on-1 in community and home environments, providing expert care while pushing clients to achieve greater independence. The ideal candidate will be the 'calm in the storm,' with extensive experience managing aggressive behaviors and high-intensity meltdowns, possessing tactical training for emergency situations with grace and clinical precision. The program aims to move learning from the classroom into real-world settings like gyms, transit, and workplaces, focusing on relationship-building, sensory regulation, and the 'Dignity of Risk.'

  • Demonstrated experience in de-escalation techniques.
  • Exceptional patience, reliability, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries while building authentic relationships.

  • Maintain a calm, dignity-first presence during periods of high anxiety or sensory overload, navigating aggressive behavior independently.
  • Implement 'External Brain' systems (tech tools, visual supports, and habit-stacking) to build client autonomy.
  • Collaborate with families and the Founder to refine the program curriculum during the pilot phase.
  • Operate with total discretion and independent decision-making in unpredictable public environments.

Benefits

  • $35–$45/hr starting rate
