About The Position

T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. By the time you finish reading this paragraph, we will have produced two solar panels that will power American homes and fuel domestic AI. T1 Energy is looking to hire an experienced IQA (Incoming Quality Assurance) Inspector to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. Under the direction of the Quality Specialist, will inspect, perform lab testing, and collect data on all required raw incoming materials.

Requirements

  • Be familiar with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), sampling, handling, and management.
  • Ensure a safe work process is executed with each job and a culture of safety is fostered.
  • Practical knowledge of general computer software like (MS Outlook, Office, Excel).
  • Basic usage of inspection tools, i.e., calipers, and micrometers.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Ability to convert into units.
  • QA/QC experience in quality, manufacturing, or other related fields.
  • High School Diploma or GED minimum.
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work 12-HR shifts.
  • Must be able to effectively visually distinguish colors; have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Follow work instructions to conduct the inspection for the raw materials with various instruments.
  • Keep track and record data of the inspection and lab testing collected, save and upload in the proper locations.
  • Determine sampling size according to the work instructions in the sampling plan for each raw material.
  • Read Blueprint/2D drawings for various inspections.
  • Report any non-conformances to specialist and isolate any raw material if needed.
  • Be able to have basic mathematical skills and conversion.
  • Ensure that testing equipment and instruments are cleaned, maintained and calibrated regularly.
  • Clean the IQA lab every day to ensure the room is clean and tidy.
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.
