Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams, you will perform inspections, support quality initiatives, maintain measurement equipment, and help drive continuous improvement efforts. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a Quality, Manufacturing, Inspection, or related technical role.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
  • Solid understanding of quality principles, inspection methods, and documentation practices.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar business systems.
  • Familiarity with AIAG quality tools and manufacturing quality processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings and results.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical components used in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools.
  • Document inspection results and quality dispositions within SAP and other quality systems.
  • Conduct First Piece Inspections (FPI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) inspections, and other product verification activities when needed.
  • Monitor and manage quality hold areas, including product containment, inventory control, and electronic quality holds.
  • Support supplier quality activities, including coordinating product returns, corrective actions, and material disposition with external vendors.
  • Maintain calibration records and coordinate calibration activities for measurement equipment to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality-related data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and other cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and minimize production disruptions.
  • Participate in internal audits and support compliance with ISO 9001 quality management standards.
  • Assist with special projects, investigations, root cause analysis, and process improvement activities.
  • Support pre-shipment quality verification activities and customer-specific quality requirements when needed.
