Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a Quality, Manufacturing, Inspection, or related technical role.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
Solid understanding of quality principles, inspection methods, and documentation practices.
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar business systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings and results.
Ability to prioritize and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical components used in manufacturing environments.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AIAG quality tools and manufacturing quality processes.

Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools.
Document inspection results and quality dispositions within SAP and other quality systems.
Conduct First Piece Inspections (FPI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) inspections, and other product verification activities when needed.
Monitor and manage quality hold areas, including product containment, inventory control, and electronic quality holds.
Support supplier quality activities, including coordinating product returns, corrective actions, and material disposition with external vendors.
Maintain calibration records and coordinate calibration activities for measurement equipment to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Collect, analyze, and report quality-related data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and other cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and minimize production disruptions.
Participate in internal audits and support compliance with ISO 9001 quality management standards.
Assist with special projects, investigations, root cause analysis, and process improvement activities.
Support pre-shipment quality verification activities and customer-specific quality requirements when needed.
