Inclusive Work Program Manager

HPPalo Alto, CA

About The Position

Seeking an Inclusive Work Program Catalyst to lead and manage employment programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Experience in project or program manager required — ideally with a corporate or technology background — who brings high standards, sharp observational skills, and the confidence to hold a team accountable while remaining deeply committed to their growth. You will be expected to raise the bar for program participants, surface problems directly and early, and drive meaningful progress.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project or program management, including managing complex, multi-faceted initiatives — background in corporate or tech environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong observational and diagnostic skills — able to identify where and why a process is breaking down and respond with targeted, practical solutions.
  • High accountability mindset with the ability to set clear expectations, follow through, and address gaps.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels — including the confidence to raise concerns directly and in real time.
  • A proactive problem-solving mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the inclusive work program, ensuring smooth delivery and positive outcomes for all participants.
  • Translate discussions, decisions, and stakeholder conversations into clear team expectations — then follow up to ensure those expectations are understood and reflected in each team member's work.
  • Observe team members performing tasks step by step to identify where breakdowns are occurring, diagnose root causes, and develop targeted solutions rather than defaulting to repeated instruction.
  • Monitor whether team members are following established processes and tools, investigate when they are not, and address gaps directly and constructively.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between our organization, project partners, and program participants — communicating status updates, surfacing challenges early, and driving solutions.
  • Record stakeholder sessions to capture information critical for training and program development.
  • Address issues with clarity and consistency, reinforcing that change and adaptability are core expectations of the role.
  • Provide direct, candid feedback to program leadership — concerns and observations should be communicated openly and promptly.
  • Act as a visible champion for individuals with IDD, maintaining high expectations as an expression of respect for their capabilities and potential.
