About The Position

The Inclusive/Adaptive Program Coordinator/Instructor is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children that have modification needs for sports and more. The Coordinator Instructor will develop, plan, and implement programs for children and adults of differing needs. Depending on the needs of children, programs may be adaptive in need or may be inclusive in presentation. The Coordinator Instructor will supervise play, ensure children's safety, and promote positive social interactions in accordance with facility guidelines.

Requirements

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Friendly, patient, and attentive with strong communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple children with varying needs and energy levels.
Reliable, punctual, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Special Education, Recreation, Physical Education, Early Childhood Education, Occupational Therapy degrees preferred.
Experience working with those with Special Needs, Inclusive programs, Therapy programs preferred

Responsibilities

Actively monitor and care for all children in the programs, events and open area times.
Maintain a clean, secure, and child-friendly environment.
Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Organize and lead developmentally appropriate activities such as skill sessions, games, arts and crafts, story time, and free play.
Promote a positive and respectful atmosphere among children.
Communicate prior to the first class with parents/caregivers to find what the needs of each child is to set up a safe and fun experience for the child.
Greet parents/guardians, manage check-in and check-out procedures.
Communicate any concerns, behavioral issues, or incidents promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with supervisors and other staff to support child care program standards.
Sanitize toys, equipment, and play areas regularly in compliance with health standards.
Monitor supply inventory and inform supervisor of needs.
Follow all facility policies, licensing regulations, and COVID-19 safety protocols if applicable.
