About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of inclusions by gathering specifications, documenting batches, and mixing ingredients according to product needs. The position involves performing various jobs on the production line, documenting inclusion details, mixing ingredients with correct ratios, and performing duties as directed by the room operator. Additionally, the role includes inspecting labels, cleaning the work area, maintaining safety procedures, and following Simmons operating systems, policies, and quality/security guidelines. The position also involves assisting in the training of new employees on basic requirements, safety, job assignments, and sanitation procedures. Team participation is crucial, including involvement in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies, as well as coordinating work to ensure B.E.S.T practices. The role requires familiarity with Simmons' operating systems and understanding the responsibility to maintain this familiarity and the position's role in supporting these systems. Other duties may be assigned to support business objectives.

Requirements

Comfortable with personal computers.
Ability to bend.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs from floor to crown.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work on feet all day.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures (under 40 degrees - above 100 degrees).
Ability to work in a noisy environment.
Ability to perform frequent stair climbing.
Must use hair net, ear plugs, and any other protective equipment as needed or required.

Preference for Food Processing Industry experience.
Military experience is valued.

Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
