The Inclusion and Culture Coordinator is responsible for supporting departmental operations through event planning, administrative support, and internal communications assistance. This role offers exposure to firmwide programs focused on inclusion and culture. The Coordinator will support the implementation of effective strategies to enhance community education, participation, system evaluations, and internal communications, aiming to cultivate an inclusive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-4 years of experience in Legal or Professional services preferred
  • Experience working with HR data and HR systems (Workday and ViDesktop experience preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal, client service, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to work with senior members of the organization.
  • Exceptional judgement, professional and positive demeanor along with an ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proactive and positive solutions oriented mind set
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, passionate about innovating and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding Inclusion & Culture and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of I&C programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support the creation and distribution of I&C communications, including newsletters, firm-wide emails, and intranet updates, partnering with the Communications and Graphics teams.
  • Support team to coordinate logistics for I&C events, meetings, and training sessions, including room bookings and attendee tracking as needed.
  • Support team with personnel information analysis for reporting purposes, contributing to transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Manage I&C content on internal and external platforms, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Engage in community outreach and partnerships, amplifying the firm's I&C efforts beyond the workplace.
  • Proactively develop creative and strategic ways for affinity and professional staff groups to build community, develop professionally, and raise the profile of their members internally and externally.
  • Register and track attorney participation for industry inclusion-focused conferences.
  • Process sponsorship and travel expenses.
  • Monitor trends and innovations related to inclusion and culture in the legal profession and other professional services firms to identify and develop new initiatives, approaches, and programs related to recruitment, retention, development, and advancement of women and diverse lawyers.
  • Support Senior I&C Global Manager in collaborating with Attorney Development, Learning & Development, Well-Being, Legal Recruiting, Human Resources teams, and Practice Groups to address training needs, develop curricula, and implement programs to maximize the effectiveness and incorporation of inclusion and culture throughout the firm.
  • Assist in ad hoc team and I&C talent projects as needed.
