Overview Coordinates training and tracks certifications for Incident Management Team (IMT) members. Administers IMT field equipment including traditional office equipment (monitors, projectors, cables, etc.) and prepares equipment for shipping. May be required to travel to deploy/set-up and demobilize equipment. Prepares/edits warning and deployment orders. Coordinates with the Watch and MegaCenter to reconcile deployment rosters and personnel status. Background The Federal Protective Service (FPS) operates a 24x7x365 national operations center, known as the Federal Protective Service Operations Center (FPSOC) or “The Watch,” which serves as the central hub for situational awareness, information coordination, and operational reporting across FPS. FPS relies on contractor support to assist with watch desk operations, incident monitoring, information synthesis, and briefing production, ensuring timely, accurate information sharing in support of operational and leadership decision-making. Contractor personnel also support virtual Emergency Operations Center (vEOC) activities, Incident Management Team (IMT) deployments, and the maintenance of a Common Operating Picture (COP) to enable coordinated response across FPS and partner organizations. Responsibilities Conduct office equipment care, end user maintenance, inventory, and readiness for deployment Conduct analyses of FPS Regional level readiness and capability for deployment Review and analyze situation reports, resource tracking, and deployment rosters All duties performed under this position are done so independently. Qualifications 5 years of relevant experience in data analysis or related work, familiarity with law enforcement operations and risk analysis. Security Clearance:Candidates must possess an active Secret security clearance. Clearance processing and entry on duty are subject to government approval, and candidates will not be permitted to begin work until all required security requirements are met. Education Educational Requirements: a BA/BS or MA/MS degree Work Hours Coverage is required 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Core hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) may adjust start and end times based on mission requirements. Work Location FPS Headquarters:6315 Bren Mar Drive, Alexandria, VA 22312 Additional Duty Locations May Include: Temporary and COOP emergency relocation sites, including the Contractor’s own facility, during designated COOP events Designated IMT deployment sites across all U.S. states and territories Authorized training locations, as approved by the Contracting Officer Telework Telework may be authorized on a situational basis by the COR, with concurrence from the FPS Manager, when deemed to be in the best interest of the government. Personnel approved for telework must maintain an approved telework plan in accordance with DHS/FPS policy.
