About The Position

The Oregon Department of Energy is seeking an Incentives Analyst to support the implementation of the Climate Equity and Resilience through Action (CERTA) program. This role involves coordinating program activities, monitoring compliance, and analyzing data to inform decision-making. The position evaluates applications and reports for adherence to program requirements, assists in developing and maintaining operational procedures, and provides technical guidance to program participants and partners. This is a limited-duration position, expected to end on December 28, 2028, with the possibility of extension or earlier termination depending on funding. The role is eligible for hybrid remote work, with a requirement to be physically present at the central workplace in Salem, Oregon, at least six times per year for meetings and other needs. The Energy Planning & Innovation Division focuses on advancing equitable clean energy transitions through energy efficiency, renewable energy, and climate change initiatives, providing technical assistance and promoting cleaner, more efficient energy alternatives for Oregonians.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a program OR Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
  • Experience evaluating program guidelines and utilizing analytical skills and sound decision-making skills to assess compliance and ensure consistency in the application of program rules.
  • Experience conducting outreach and maintaining positive relationships with the public, stakeholders, diverse community/stakeholder groups, other agencies, and Tribal and local governments.
  • Experience maintaining a database, capturing data, updating data, analyzing data, generating reports, and reporting out to stakeholders.
  • Experience working in or with governmental agencies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the state, as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, both currently and in the future.
  • Must complete the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's I-9 form on the first day of hire to verify work authorization.
