The Inbound Supervisor will manage inbound operations across their designated section of a 120-door, cross-dock freight facility. This role involves taking an active role in the planning of daily routes and the assignment of loads for a team of local/city LTL drivers. The supervisor will lead a team of 30+ drivers and dock personnel through daily operations, while maintaining company and shift expectations; prioritizing communication, accountability, and employee development. Responsibilities include coordinating the process of trailer loading/unloading, dock forklift traffic, and the proper movement/sortation of palletized freight. The supervisor will utilize independent judgement to build loads based on available labor and freight levels, ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers, and monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded. Maintaining a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards and supporting a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers are also key duties.
