This role involves leading, guiding, and directing drivers and other employees to achieve operational efficiency, cleanliness, and safety within an LTL operation. The Inbound Supervisor is responsible for dock planning, setting schedules, enforcing company policies and safety regulations, and making recommendations for hiring and terminations. This position plays a key role in executing the Service Center Business plan, meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and utilizing company P&D enhancement tools. Responsibilities include reviewing and revising driver schedules to optimize efficiency and reduce costs, managing equipment assignment and accountability, and communicating with drivers and customers regarding freight movement, delivery expectations, and scheduling issues. The supervisor will also conduct continuous analysis of vehicle and driver assignments, direct the compilation of delivery timetables, and ensure proper customer communication via phone, fax, or email. A significant part of the role involves overseeing and managing all paperwork associated with the city operation, ensuring timely and accurate completion by drivers and clerks. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for conducting safety interviews and training following accidents, workers' compensation incidents, road observations, and notices of violations. Regular attendance is required, and employees must be able to perform any and all other duties as assigned by management.
