About The Position

The Inbound Operations Coordinator supports daily warehouse operations through hands-on participation, operational coordination, and workflow support across inbound, inventory, and fulfillment activities. This role assists with maintaining inventory across primary and overflow storage locations, inbound freight processing, warehouse organization, and safe work practices within the distribution center.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse and/or inventory experience required
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem analysis and problem resolution capabilities
  • General experience with Microsoft Office applications required
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to work independently, and in teams, to consistently meet commitments
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Supports warehouse inventory organization and storage utilization efforts to maintain efficient product flow, slotting, replenishment, inventory consolidation, overflow organization, and overall space optimization within the distribution center
  • Organizes and maintains accurate inventory locations, including labeling, bin transfers, receiving put-away, and movement of inventory between primary and overflow storage locations
  • Leads container unload operations, including directing temporary labor, assigning workflow responsibilities, monitoring productivity, and enforcing safety procedures during inbound operations
  • Coordinates temporary labor assignments and workflow to support inbound receiving, quality control, inventory organization, and other warehouse activities as needed
  • Leads inbound receiving activities, including product verification, documentation, staging, inventory movement, and proper storage of incoming inventory and carrier deliveries
  • Supports warehouse space planning and preparation for frequent high-volume inbound freight, including container receiving, staging, product placement, inventory consolidation, and coordination of product movement to support efficient storage and fulfillment operations
  • Schedules & conducts a full cycle count of inventory twice a quarter and conduct weekly inventory counts
  • Researches and resolves inventory discrepancies identified during cycle counts and other inventory control activities, documenting findings as needed
  • Prepares inventory adjustments and supporting reports related to cycle counts and inventory discrepancies for review by warehouse leadership and accounting
  • Replenishes pick locations from overstock and overflow storage areas while following FIFO procedures and maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Ensures overstock locations are organized and ready for new incoming shipments according to FIFO
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory
  • Maintains accurate inventory records in the ERP/WMS system, including bin locations, inventory transfers, and receiving transactions
  • Coordinates support for annual physical inventory audits
  • Assists with warehouse and shipping operations as needed to support daily workflow, operational coverage, and team productivity
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives
  • Adheres to all company, warehouse policies and procedures. Including safety and HIPA practices
