About The Position

RJW Logistics Group is seeking an Inbound Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Inbound department. This role involves managing departmental hours, inbound unloading, warehouse equipment maintenance, and warehouse housekeeping. The Inbound Manager will also be responsible for communicating transitional information between shifts, managing assigned staff including performance reviews and disciplinary actions, and overseeing all computer entry and paperwork flow. This position requires driving improvements through change, thinking outside the box, and assigning priorities for labor, documentation, and customer demands.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of Warehouse Management experience
  • Dispatch experience
  • Dock supervision experience
  • Experience in Warehouse Management and LTL dispatch
  • Knowledge of DOT Regulations and Requirements
  • Minimum of H.S. diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to activate the phone system utilizing keyboards and buttons.
  • Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Regularly works in an indoor/warehouse environment and required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift or kneel during the work day.
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, and communicate to customers or other employees.
  • Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
  • Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Must hear speech out of both ears in the normal range of 30 db. at 500 to 2000 Hz range.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
  • Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

Responsibilities

  • Assigning work assignments for all 1st and 2nd shift inbound warehouse staffing, considering customer specifications.
  • Overseeing the unloading of freight according to customer specifications.
  • Reviewing deliveries for poor packing and general conditions of materials.
  • Alerting Customer Service Rep, Warehouse Director, and COO of any problems with clear, decisive information or pictures.
  • Overseeing and assigning the processing of shipment paperwork, including scanning BOLs.
  • Ensuring all shipments/POs are recorded and verified, and the accuracy of the shipment against paperwork for incoming shipments and deliveries.
  • Monitoring the quality and accuracy of all shipments according to customer specifications.
  • Ensuring department staff meets customer requirements and that any requirement changes are updated and all staffing is trained on changes.
  • Communicating with CSS teams and responding to inquiries, implementing required actions.
  • Communicating with the 2nd shift via e-mail prior to the end of each shift to ensure a smooth transition of daily work-flow, issues, customer concerns, or maintenance issues.
  • Ensuring the safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors, in accordance with OSHA and RJW policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing the completion of all computer data entry, checking for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintaining and approving all shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll, including temp hours, and making corrections as needed.
  • Monitoring all overtime hours to meet department requirements.
  • Completing building checks daily, notifying the Warehouse General Manager of equipment or building problems or preventive maintenance needed, and assisting with maintaining equipment.
  • Ensuring warehouse employees adhere to all SQF processes, procedures, and guidelines, and that they have had SQF training for handling food products.
  • Assuring that all checklists for building, equipment, and safety are completed as designated by the SOP or Policy.
  • Issuing corrective actions or work orders to correct or fix any issues.
  • Ensuring proper procedures are followed for accident reporting, handling the care of any injured employee, and notifying HR and management of any emergency actions taken.
  • Performing assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by the Warehouse General Manager or Director.
  • Traveling to other facilities for training of leads/supervisors when required.
  • Assisting with onboarding new customers and programs.
