About The Position

This position provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring. It involves assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, communicating expectations consistently, and recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential. The role effectively leads and develops teams through teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. The Inbound Coach tours the store, provides feedback, and engages with associates at all levels regarding store operations, technology use, business objectives, merchandising, and company direction. They introduce and lead company transformation initiatives, establish clear expectations and guidelines for implementing business solutions, and communicate business objectives to teams. The role models and exhibits great customer service standards by adhering to and practicing the One Best Way (OBW) service model. They manage and support customer service efforts, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are addressed successfully. The Inbound Coach develops and implements corrective action plans and leads process improvement efforts to guarantee a high-quality customer experience. They contribute to the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by examining and evaluating profit and loss (P&L) statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses to ensure they are indexed to sales. The role monitors and guarantees the proper functioning of inventory and operational processes, develops and implements action plans to control shrink, and ensures business areas' sales and profit goals are met. They assure that automation equipment is running effectively by monitoring product flow, tending to automated equipment, and addressing freight flow and resetting equipment. The Inbound Coach interacts with and monitors automated equipment's computer-based interfaces, notifies and assists the appropriate maintenance team or vendor with unresolved jams or equipment failures, and follows and executes Lockout/Tagout procedures surrounding automation equipment. They provide training to Micro Fulfillment Center (MFC) technology operators, guidance to the Operations Team to minimize operational errors, and act as a coach for these operations. The role supports Picking, Replenishment, and Staging operations, providing tool-free maintenance of equipment, clearing faults, swapping out equipment components, resolving basic software errors, acting as the main point of contact for site incidents, and facilitating escalation of incidents that cannot be resolved at the site. The Inbound Coach participates in key communication forums to stay updated, documenting and communicating lessons learned and continuous improvement recommendations to the MFC technology vendor. They execute, drive, and make operational decisions, including accept/reject decisions on delivery or wasting stock in case of refrigeration breakdown, implementing best-in-class working and safety procedures, and physical layout for the entire MFC. They fulfill pick-pack orders efficiently and safely, browse through screens and dashboards, inspect order status, diagnose issues with order/donor totes, reintroduce lost totes, and escalate to remote support. They understand the flow from Dematic and Walmart systems, basic Windows operating system functions, and perform basic troubleshooting of faults, including exchanging faulted shuttles, resetting faults, and escalating to remote support. The role coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, identifying and communicating goals, building accountability, measuring progress, identifying improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. They provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset. They ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance. Requirements

  • 4 years of site/area management experience in a fast-paced warehouse/high volume production or grocery fulfillment operational environment.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
  • For facilities that sell firearms, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying will require successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.

  • Exchanges a faulted shuttle with a spare shuttle, resets a finger fault, addresses a tote jam, resets an E-stop, resets a lift, and escalates to remote support/on-site support.
