About The Position

The In-Room Dining Server plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences directly to guests within their rooms, ensuring comfort and satisfaction. This position requires attentiveness to guest needs, timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages, and the maintenance of high standards of service and presentation. The server acts as a key representative of the hospitality brand, fostering positive guest interactions and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally. By coordinating closely with the kitchen and Front Desk teams, the server ensures seamless service flow and guest satisfaction. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall guest experience and the establishment's reputation for quality and care. The Room Service Server is a key team member and essential for the successful operation of the kitchen and the Food & Beverage Department. The Room Service Server must ensure they provide exceptionally friendly, prompt service to maintain guest satisfaction. All hotel operations must be executed at the highest level of professionalism and courtesy. The Room Service Server must ensure that our customers are treated with the utmost respect at all times since they are the key to our success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and billing.
  • Ability to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods weighing a maximum of 50 lbs., at a continuous schedule with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience specifically in in-room dining or room service roles.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Customer service training or certification.
  • Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests courteously and take in-room dining orders accurately, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are noted.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly to guest rooms while maintaining proper presentation and temperature standards.
  • Set up in-room dining trays or tables in accordance with hotel standards and guest preferences.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any service issues with professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and room service dispatch to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of service carts and dining equipment.
  • Process guest payments and provide accurate billing information when required.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure guest well-being.
