About The Position

The In-Room Dining Server serves guests and colleagues by providing an outstanding, memorable in-room dining experience. The role delivers requested items efficiently, responds to guests’ needs and feedback about beverages and drinks, and provides consistently caring, high-quality service. This is a casual position.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in customer service or the foodservice/hospitality industry.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for food and alcohol service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local certifications, such as a food handler certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver requested items efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Communicate with guests about their needs and satisfaction with beverages and drinks.
• Retrieve orders from the POS system and communicate special requests or modifications to the kitchen.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items.
• Prepare guest checks accurately and collect payment or a signature as required.
• Operate, maintain, and properly clean restaurant equipment and fittings.
• Keep food delivery tidy and maintain accurate par levels of food and non-food items on the cart and in storage areas.
• Follow safe food-handling procedures and food-safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Check the quality and expiration dates of items and discard and replace them according to established procedures.
