About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for an In-Room Dining Server. This role is essential in providing guests with an exceptional in-room dining experience. The server will be responsible for accurately taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction with timely and attentive service. The position involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of service areas and responding promptly to guest requests and concerns, all while upholding the high standards of Four Seasons hospitality.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Must be flexible with schedule – Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Ability to carry and balance a tray.
  • Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America.

  • Preferred experience in a luxury hotel in food and beverage or related work.

Responsibilities

  • Check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order and deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room.
  • Transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
  • Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods.
  • Communicate options for removal of trays and dishware.
  • Respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions.
  • Respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature.
  • Properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
  • Take guest orders in the absence of order taker.
  • Plate and prepare small food items.
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
