About The Position

In Room Dining General Manager for Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale. This role oversees all aspects of in-room dining operations, amenities, and minibar operations, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional service delivery to discerning guests. The General Manager will lead a team of staff members to uphold the highest standards of quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction, creating distinctively different and authentic experiences. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and is integral to providing a luxury dining experience, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within a luxury hotel or resort in-room dining environment.
  • Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service.
  • Must possess a valid Food Handler’s card.
  • Must possess valid TIPs certification.
  • Knowledge of five-star service standards.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, wine pairing, and service techniques.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of in-room dining operations, including order taking, food preparation, and delivery to guest rooms, to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of in-room dining servers, providing guidance and support to ensure impeccable service and adherence to resort standards.
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency in in-room dining offerings.
  • Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for in-room dining operations, including order processing, delivery protocols, and guest communication, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Monitoring performance metrics, such as order accuracy, delivery times, and guest feedback, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conducting regular training sessions for in-room dining staff, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance skills and service delivery.
  • Managing guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed guest expectations and resolve issues to their satisfaction.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all in-room dining areas, including service stations, tray setups, and guest corridors, in accordance with resort standards.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain sufficient stock for restaurant operations and mini bar offerings.
  • Managing minibar operations, including inventory management, restocking, and quality.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as housekeeping and guest services, attending weekly BEO and other necessary meetings to ensure smooth coordination and communication for in-room dining services.
  • Building standard operating procedures for all staff training and standards.
  • Adhering to all resort policies and procedures, including safety protocols and food handling guidelines, to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
