About The Position

We are seeking an In-Room Dining Dispatcher & Cashier who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together while caring deeply about our brand. The ideal In-Room Dining Dispatcher & Cashier will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. The In-Room Dining Dispatcher & Cashier will provide an excellent guest experience through proper steps of service and maintain a great work environment for our fellow hosts and vendors. This role will properly take all guests’ In Room Dining orders, communicate them to other servers and work to expedite their service. Other responsibilities include to properly perform all control and revenue related paperwork. This will all be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Requirements

  • High School or General Education Degree, Required
  • Must be able to obtain food and alcoholic beverage server certification
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must pass a post-employment offer background check and drug screen
  • Must display and live out Lead with Love qualities strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture by being patient, kind, humble, respectful, selfless, forgiving, honest, and committed
  • Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees
  • Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in work
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined
  • Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information
  • Must be committed to continuous improvement
  • Must have professional appearance with good personal hygiene
  • Must promote and support a “team” work environment by cooperating and helping co-workers
  • Must be able to be productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Checks with Manager for daily forecast
  • Packages and presents food/beverage items to standard
  • Inspects location for cleanliness, proper supply levels
  • Orders/requisitions food and supplies through lead/sous chef
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes
  • Uses POS accurately. Handles cash, credit card, and room charge transactions as directed
  • Participates in daily line ups
  • Practices service standards and current training throughout service
  • Assists with duties in the restaurant as needed
  • Responsible for answering the phones within three rings
  • Takes orders for guests and using last names at least three times during interaction
  • Knowledge on ways to upsell/suggestive sells
  • Informs the guest about specials in restaurant
  • Gives the approximate time of delivery for the order
  • Prepares payment of checks
  • Knowledge of food menus and wine lists and daily specials
  • Knows and adheres to all liability laws
  • Prints and distributes hotel reports
  • Charges all amenities and coffee orders according to SOP
  • Completes other duties assigned
  • Attends all designated staff meetings and training sessions
  • Assists server with set up and breakdown of trays when available
  • Communicates amenity issues to manager/concierge when necessary
