About The Position

As the In-House Counsel, you will provide quality, accurate, and relevant advice on the whole spectrum of legal matters that apply to the Center, at the direction of the Assistant General Counsel. As the attorney, you will draft, review, and negotiate commodity, revenue, and expenditure contracts, as well as participate in the procurement processes for the contracts and purchasing departments. This position will work closely with agency departments, divisions, and the Legal Team in a diverse array of legal matters, including providing legal guidance, doing research, and preparing memoranda and other documentation as assigned. This position will be part of MHMR’s Legal Team and will report to the Assistant General Counsel-Legal Services.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved Law School.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of experience.
  • Legal Experience in a community center, behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or health industry.
  • Certificates for Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act Trainings.
